Ann Guay Tiew Kua Gai
Ann Guay Tiew Kua Gai
✓ Our editors confirmed it is open (2026-10-18)
A specialist in guay tiew kua gai, wide rice noodles stir-fried in pork fat over a charcoal-fired wok. This third-generation family shop follows a recipe passed down for more than 70 years. The noodles are cooked over high heat for crisp edges and a tender center, with little sauce and a soft-cooked egg on top. It was selected for the Michelin Bib Gourmand every year from 2018 to 2023. Expect a humble, plastic-stool kind of setting.
Editor's picks
- Seating and atmosphere: Seats are available indoors and outside. Some visitors find the chairs small and the setting simple.
- On the side: The stir-fried noodles are often paired with broth and pickled lime. Fried chicken skin and crispy pork wontons are also mentioned as side dishes.
- Good to know: Takeaway noodles can turn firm as they cool.
