Lost in Songwat (The Chinese House)
Lost in Songwat (The Chinese House)
✓ Our editors confirmed it is open (2026-10-19)
A tucked-away alley café in a roughly 150-year-old traditional Chinese house, renovated with a light touch. A huge banyan tree wraps its roots around the walls; climb the curved stone steps to find a tranquil interior of aged wooden beams and natural light filtering through the windows. The menu includes coffee, pastries, burgers and beer. The upper floor operates as a café, while downstairs is a relaxed spot for a drink.
Editor's picks
- Space and atmosphere: A banyan tree spreads across the front wall, and the curving stone steps make a striking photo spot. The staff are friendly, too.
- Good to know: Indoor seating is limited, so tables fill quickly when it’s busy. Some visitors also find the alley location hard to spot.
